The first <br />project was a one page essay on a comparison of two type of <br />computers. I decided to do net book vs laptop. <span style="font-style:italic;">This is the essay:</span><br /><br /> <span style="font-style:italic;"> You've probably heard of those new small and <br />portable laptops called "Net books." They are used <br />primarily for surfing the web and doing simple tasks, <br />such as taking notes and editing.<br /> <br /> If you were going for a faster processor or a <br />computer for gaming, I would get a laptop. There are <br />big differences between them; for instance, and average<br />"Net book" (Acer Aspire One) has only 1.66 Ghz processor <br />speed. This is decent for such a small laptop but the <br />speed would probably be fairly slow and multitasking<br />might prove to be very challenging. An average laptop <br />(Inspiron 15) has 2.2Ghz which is a faster, duel core <br />processor, so that would be a lot faster and would be <br />able to play games and multitasking would be smoother. <br />The cost difference is not even that far apart for these <br />two completely different devices.<br /> <br /> An Acer Aspire One <span style="font-weight:bold;">(Net book)<span style="font-style:italic;"></span></span> is around $300 while <br />the much superior Laptop (Inspiron 15) is only $200 dollars <br />more than that at a price of $500 dollars. If you compare <br />the battery life, processing speed, ability to multitask <br />and even the keyboard size/screen size, the obvious choice <br />would be to go for a laptop as opposed to the <span style="font-weight:bold;">"Net book",</span> <br />although the "Net book" would be a good buy if you are a <br />frequent traveler and need to do quick emails, light gaming <br />or watching movies. Other than that if you were to buy a <span style="font-weight:bold;">"Net book"</span> and use it as <span style="font-style:italic;">"Laptop,"</span> I think you would be very disappointed.</span><br /><br />I got an A on that paper.<br /><br />Also If you want to see some of the <br />new "Lightning Ville" comics please go here:<br />http://lightningville.smackjeeves.com/d3vinhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15535446211775483039noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3636993271104615948.post-75205968543884886502010-02-11T21:08:00.000-08:002010-02-11T21:33:14.005-08:00Lightning Ville!I'm pleased to announce my new comic,<br /><span style="font-weight:bold;">"Lightning Ville!"</span> Made with MS paint,<br />this pixel comic is a strip by strip,<br />daily life portrayal of the people <br />that live in Lighting Ville.<span style="font-style:italic;">(anytown, usa)</span><br />Filled with comic mischief, comedy, <br />drama, and everything else you can <br />think of, this comic is sure<br />to be enjoyed by any reader.<br /><br />Here is the premiere of <span style="font-weight:bold;">"Lightning Ville!"</span><br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhInCnF8s_-KHlUznL3g3krtOHbuIK1kullIx62n6u2Y7hloa77q0cOpU0IAePL-cBN0uoXpTJhBFatdVbw9JOfSu1IdkPFJ_LVaRzApAO0vJaLcQSUuLSPugT1nEyCdK5bxOAtMwJ16A4/s1600-h/dd.PNG"><img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 161px; height: 400px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhInCnF8s_-KHlUznL3g3krtOHbuIK1kullIx62n6u2Y7hloa77q0cOpU0IAePL-cBN0uoXpTJhBFatdVbw9JOfSu1IdkPFJ_LVaRzApAO0vJaLcQSUuLSPugT1nEyCdK5bxOAtMwJ16A4/s400/dd.PNG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5437221870635347826" /></a><br /><br />Projects aside, I'm doing okay.<br />Community College is going as <br />good as it gets. The class is a little<br />slow going for me, probably because<br />I'm fairly skilled with Computers,<br />and Windows XP <span style="font-style:italic;">(which is the class focus)</span><br />but I'm sure it will get harder soon.<br />The teacher is really cool,<br />his lectures are interesting<br />and easy to listen to.<br />You can tell he is passionate<br />for the subject just by the way<br />he talks.<br /><br />Right now I'm unsure of where<br />to transfer after I take the free<br />classes I am taking <span style="font-style:italic;">(Micro Computer Applications)</span><br />and I forget which class <br />I take after this. Honestly<br />at this point I'm basically<br />just playing games and<br />going on FaceBook for the <br />majority of the class time, <br />but only because I'm already <br />done with the work/know the material.<br /><br /><span style="font-weight:bold;">Here's some pictures I took:</span><br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://i48.tinypic.com/2eebn9h.jpg"><img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="http://i48.tinypic.com/2eebn9h.jpg" border="0" alt="" /></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://i50.tinypic.com/2w2h2ix.jpg"><img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 250px;" src="http://i50.tinypic.com/2w2h2ix.jpg" border="0" alt="" /></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://i50.tinypic.com/153mx7d.jpg"><img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 250px;" src="http://i50.tinypic.com/153mx7d.jpg" border="0" alt="" /></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://i48.tinypic.com/2vbud76.jpg"><img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 500px;" src="http://i48.tinypic.com/2vbud76.jpg" border="0" alt="" /></a>d3vinhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15535446211775483039noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3636993271104615948.post-73440915421536079482010-01-29T07:40:00.000-08:002010-01-29T12:12:08.678-08:00Cat Vs Bear<div><object width="400" height="200"><param name="movie" value="http://d.yimg.com/static.video.yahoo.com/yep/YV_YEP.swf?ver=2.2.46" /><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true" /><param name="AllowScriptAccess" VALUE="always" /><param name="bgcolor" value="#000000" /><param name="flashVars" value="id=17840893&vid=6859557&lang=en-us&intl=us&thumbUrl=http%3A//l.yimg.com/a/i/us/sch/cn/video07/6859557_rnd0335d888_19.jpg&embed=1&ap=9460582" /><embed src="http://d.yimg.com/static.video.yahoo.com/yep/YV_YEP.swf?ver=2.2.46" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="400" height="200" allowFullScreen="true" AllowScriptAccess="always" bgcolor="#000000" flashVars="id=17840893&vid=6859557&lang=en-us&intl=us&thumbUrl=http%3A//l.yimg.com/a/i/us/sch/cn/video07/6859557_rnd0335d888_19.jpg&embed=1&ap=9460582" ></embed></object><br /><a href="http://video.yahoo.com/watch/6859557/17840893">cat vs. bear</a> @ <a href="http://video.yahoo.com" >Yahoo! Not only that but the people their are great, <br />almost everyone is extremely talented and love to <br />create work for others to enjoy. It's really a great <br />site, you could jump in no problem and feel <br />right at home. Although courtesy is encouraged.<br /><a href="http://www.mindstage.cc">MindStage!</a><br /><br /> In other news, Dell, my uncle, decided to<br />dedicate a whole blog post just for me! I feel honored!<br />His blog is great, really great and interesting.<br />You should totally check him out.<br /><a href="http://smithdell.blogspot.com/">Unreliable Narrator(dell's blog)</a><br /><br /> In other, other news, I finished my Short Film,<br />called "Robin" Which I made for my mother for her birthday.<br />She really liked it and I'm happy she did. I worked <br />pretty hard on it, and if I can say it with out sounding smug,<br />I think it's the best thing I have made so far.<br /><a href="http://tinypic.com" target="_blank"><img src="http://i49.tinypic.com/2u97qsn.jpg" border="0" alt="Image and video hosting by TinyPic"></a><br />Here's a link to it:<br /><a href="http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/521178">Robin (A Short Film)</a>d3vinhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15535446211775483039noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3636993271104615948.post-52087106696739420872009-12-11T17:40:00.000-08:002010-01-29T17:48:16.435-08:00CollegeYeah I haven't really been writing a lot <br />in the last blog posts, sorry about that. <br />I just feel like I'll start writing and then <br />hate what I wrote. It happens a lot. <br /><br />So I should be going to 4C's <span style="font-style:italic;">(community college)</span> this January, <br />and I'm pretty excited. I don't know what <br />classes I'm going to take, but whatever I <br />choose it's going to be free. Why? Because <br />I'll probably be getting into a thing called <br />the "Pact Program" Which let's me take free <br />college courses. Which is awesome, obviously.<br /><br />I'll probably end up taking Creative Writing <br />& Graphic Design, as those are my 2 <span style="font-weight:bold;">favorite</span> hobbies and the 2 things I'm actually good at!d3vinhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15535446211775483039noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3636993271104615948.post-42506014087475327252009-11-11T18:33:00.001-08:002009-12-02T00:08:26.607-08:00Elf episode 3:<object width="400" height="250"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/TuN_YcrjiD4&hl=en&fs=1&color1=0x234900&color2=0x4e9e00&border=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/TuN_YcrjiD4&hl=en&fs=1&color1=0x234900&color2=0x4e9e00&border=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="400" height="250"></embed></object>d3vinhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15535446211775483039noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3636993271104615948.post-48749039173452391342009-11-11T18:30:00.001-08:002009-11-11T18:37:19.662-08:00Elf episode 2:<object width="400" height="250"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/3st-26gb4yI&hl=en&fs=1&color1=0x006699&color2=0x54abd6&border=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/3st-26gb4yI&hl=en&fs=1&color1=0x006699&color2=0x54abd6&border=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="400" height="250"></embed></object>d3vinhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15535446211775483039noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3636993271104615948.post-55699598291218800472009-10-23T00:47:00.000-07:002009-11-11T18:38:42.870-08:00Elf episode 1:<object width="400" height="250"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/tk2TPoXKhRQ&hl=en_US&fs=1&color1=0xe1600f&color2=0xfebd01&border=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/tk2TPoXKhRQ&hl=en_US&fs=1&color1=0xe1600f&color2=0xfebd01&border=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="400" height="250"></embed></object>d3vinhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15535446211775483039noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3636993271104615948.post-62445338277380809672009-09-10T01:20:00.000-07:002009-09-10T01:21:21.999-07:00FoD page 2<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh5NUT63vvt2CEpbgDIIcZbeJfePPWdLYL_Pw2oZBck64_S26FFhy1xZKK65-ImKwAI7AewYouuqIQqcNs5R8xQehraCBPPOheYh_FOtbzxXZHWBahN6IiHQ1rriGfhEfat3qRH9k0KjnM/s1600-h/forest3.png"><img style="MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; WIDTH: 286px; FLOAT: left; HEIGHT: 400px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5379750949869808370" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh5NUT63vvt2CEpbgDIIcZbeJfePPWdLYL_Pw2oZBck64_S26FFhy1xZKK65-ImKwAI7AewYouuqIQqcNs5R8xQehraCBPPOheYh_FOtbzxXZHWBahN6IiHQ1rriGfhEfat3qRH9k0KjnM/s400/forest3.png" /></a><br /><div></div>d3vinhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15535446211775483039noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3636993271104615948.post-44561368061431902792009-09-10T01:18:00.000-07:002009-09-10T01:19:53.856-07:00FoD page 1<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjS5mBQ2VQmQe8nB1wtNe6wuCdlyMSWZr9Mjs-2-A-84UCy-d2wN6KBdO_rXIJ4jETITE63ax0LMvBu_7xi-T4MUuVJeRwkvcD6LhcIWxXHId9KCAN2zp0kQJQEIdGWBmFZ4EZyUKsyyNs/s1600-h/forest2.png"><img style="MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; WIDTH: 286px; FLOAT: left; HEIGHT: 400px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5379750569343668194" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjS5mBQ2VQmQe8nB1wtNe6wuCdlyMSWZr9Mjs-2-A-84UCy-d2wN6KBdO_rXIJ4jETITE63ax0LMvBu_7xi-T4MUuVJeRwkvcD6LhcIWxXHId9KCAN2zp0kQJQEIdGWBmFZ4EZyUKsyyNs/s400/forest2.png" /></a><br /><div></div>d3vinhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15535446211775483039noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3636993271104615948.post-7834427920022140282009-09-07T11:47:00.001-07:002009-09-07T11:49:24.531-07:00"Gone."<p>The mind is but an abstract thought, the wishing well doused and taught, words of the wise, and words of the young, the people they gathered and the bells were rung, Generation to generation, passed down <span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_0">among</span> genes, The people lived on, until their time here seemed, Gone and swept away with the wind.</p><p>-devin johnson</p>d3vinhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15535446211775483039noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3636993271104615948.post-47276907852882404842009-08-09T23:53:00.000-07:002009-08-10T00:12:43.260-07:00Actual Labor!<div>Mowing lawns is pretty repetitive and simple, but it's not a bad source of income. With a job on top of my weekly mowing gigs I would be set. I actually enjoy mowing lawns, it feels more like an enjoyable workout than actual labor, and I get to listen to whatever I want, which is usually Immortal Technique, or Jedi Mind Tricks. Going around looking for new costumers can be sort of a let down, but I tend to find the right people to talk to and the right time. I'm currently saving up for, well... ideally a car, but first I need my permit and then I would need my licence, but anyways, that's beside the point.<br /><div><br /><br /><br /><div>I'm working on a new comic called: "Forests of Drundor." I don't know why, I sure as hell have a lot of things to say. Yesterday I got a letter from the 4C's. It was an acceptance letter, and I start in the fall. I'm excited, but still nervous.<br /><br />Right now I'm watching the old Ben and Jerry cartoons. I love watching old cartoons. New cartoons, these days, are terrible. Well, not ALL of them, but the majority of them are awful.<br />Terrible designs, choppy plots, cheap over seas animation, annoying voices, are a few things wrong with cartoons these days. Plus the lack of imagination. Corperations are just out to make a petty buck and are too worried with that that they don't know how to make a good cartoon. Speaking of cartoons, I'm working on one right now, but it's coming along fairly slowly, I'll post a trailer or something soon.d3vinhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15535446211775483039noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3636993271104615948.post-58357525048839723142009-06-07T18:14:00.001-07:002009-06-12T17:21:14.373-07:00Clouds and Foliage!<strong><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjx__-L9xqP7hXwi-DAYmmEk-Uxju8c6R3BOgXMUFAt85BD10z0s-__LuQlkQLcAtLcwgUqCWbV3Roo1ElxZh44wDDOmbDYCIqnEIZnLKzixUxm9-RvSR6UHoE7m3I5mfeRe09Ni7cF7dY/s1600-h/100_7903.JPG"><img style="MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; WIDTH: 300px; FLOAT: left; HEIGHT: 400px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5344759561468112258" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjx__-L9xqP7hXwi-DAYmmEk-Uxju8c6R3BOgXMUFAt85BD10z0s-__LuQlkQLcAtLcwgUqCWbV3Roo1ElxZh44wDDOmbDYCIqnEIZnLKzixUxm9-RvSR6UHoE7m3I5mfeRe09Ni7cF7dY/s400/100_7903.JPG" /></a></strong><br /><strong><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjx__-L9xqP7hXwi-DAYmmEk-Uxju8c6R3BOgXMUFAt85BD10z0s-__LuQlkQLcAtLcwgUqCWbV3Roo1ElxZh44wDDOmbDYCIqnEIZnLKzixUxm9-RvSR6UHoE7m3I5mfeRe09Ni7cF7dY/s1600-h/100_7903.JPG"></a></strong><br /><strong></strong><br /><strong></strong><br /><strong></strong><br /><strong></strong><br /><strong></strong><br /><strong></strong><br /><strong></strong><br /><strong></strong><br /><strong></strong><br /><strong></strong><br /><strong></strong><br /><strong></strong><br /><strong></strong><br /><strong></strong><br /><strong></strong><br /><strong></strong><br /><strong></strong><br /><strong></strong><br /><strong></strong><br /><strong></strong><br /><strong></strong><br /><strong></strong><br /><strong>Today I went for a walk in the woods. Now I did not know that that’s what we were going to be doing but it was cool anyway. My mom and me where judging poems by children in grades k-3. Some of the poems where very well written and portrayed a very crisp image. The topics of the poems were peace and while some of the entries where obviously rushed and simple, others where very detailed and portrayed raw emotion, well as much raw emotion a 5 year old can have, at least. For example there was this one poem about a boy, and how happy he was that his father was home from Iraq. He talked about how just being with his father, and watching American idol together was (to him at least) what peace really stands for. There was one poem that really stuck out to me. It was about a girl who loved reading. It was called “The Queen of Reading.” I wish I had written it down so I could recite it here, but alas I did not. I might be going to the poetry reading, where the winners of the poetry contest will read there poems, so I might be able to snag a copy of the poem when I go to that.</span></p><p class="MsoNormal"><img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgforjfXipLH_IhYDvGSRtb4YIa2PRun0K3PXAWOF4hTZWOU1PzFieC4Pw5dScXEl0dZMp0_5oxOYAZDBZT5U000SL54jShu8x-ANy9heCMDfuBlJIDvddoUlOigf1m8sSwMZVu9Ml3Zag/s400/BookShelf.jpg" /></p><p class="MsoNormal"><o:p></o:p></p> <p class="MsoNormal"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size:medium;">On another note, my brother told me to watch the movie “Funny Games” and after watching the trailer I was sold. Without thinking I started the movie in front of my mother and watched almost the whole movie. Boy if I had known it was going to be more violent than the trailer led on I would not have watched in front of her. So the movie is about a couple and there son on vacation and these two guys come out of nowhere and basically terrorize them. Now it does portray the violence pretty tastefully, but I'm certain A LOT of people wouldn't like this movie. I think some viewers wouldn't like the movie because it might be a little too much for some people to stomach. The events in this movie are completely unpredictable and might take some people by surprise. For example at the beginning the 2 men, mentioned before (that come out of nowhere) Ask to use a golf club, and they kill the dog. They don't show the killing itself but later on they show the dead body. Stuff like this that might put people off, but the acting is fantastic and the cast is just as fantastic. I think people will enjoy this movie if they're looking for a thrill late at night, with the lights off.</span></p><p class="MsoNormal"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:'Times New Roman';"><span class="Apple-style-span" style=" white-space: pre; font-family:Arial;font-size:10px;"><object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/Ec-70W_K77U&hl=en&fs=1&color1=0x006699&color2=0x54abd6"><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/Ec-70W_K77U&hl=en&fs=1&color1=0x006699&color2=0x54abd6" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object></span></span></p><p class="MsoNormal"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:'Times New Roman';"><br /></span></p>d3vinhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15535446211775483039noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3636993271104615948.post-1269524239677473632009-03-11T22:33:00.000-07:002009-03-11T22:43:05.200-07:00Little Rubber Bands!<p class="MsoNormal"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size:medium;"><span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space:pre"> </span>One thing I find very interesting about today’s technology is that it’s basically bent around the idea of making people even lazier than they already are. Now some people may not view this as a bad thing, because in reality it saves them precious time and energy doing tasks that could plausibly be done by a robot, or a machine. But I personally think that if technology progresses at the rate it’s going (JAPAN) that we will just be left, sitting in a chair, ordering around robots to do everything for us… Where have I heard that before?</span></p> <p class="MsoNormal"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size:medium;"> </span><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size:medium;"><o:p></o:p></span></p> <p class="MsoNormal"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size:medium;"><span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space:pre"> </span>Another subject that’s been in the back of my mind is, what exactly defines ones actions to be “moral” or not. I guess you could say that an action is moral if everyone that is involved in the action learns something valuable and can take a life lesson from it. But what about if someone does something wrong, but everyone EXEPT the person, learns a valuable lesson… does that make the person’s actions moral?</span></p> <p class="MsoNormal"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size:medium;"> </span><o:p></o:p></p> <span><span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space:pre"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size:medium;"> </span></span><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size:medium;">Today I was in a grocery store and noticed the lobsters in the tank and I realized that my thoughts on the subject where a lot more depressing than when I was younger. When I was younger I saw the lobsters and thought “Don’t they look silly with those little rubber bands on?” But now I see the lobsters and feel (to some extent) sorry for them. Okay, so they aren’t being abuse like KFC chickens, and they aren’t really being mistreated in any way shape or form, but It’s just sad that they are plopped in a tank with a bunch of other just as confused lobsters, and are picked at, laughed at, and then go deaf by little kid’s tapping on the glass, only to be brought home cooked and served. Do they really deserve it, even if they can’t comprehend any of it?</span></span>d3vinhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15535446211775483039noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3636993271104615948.post-76828881758144018882009-03-10T22:33:00.000-07:002009-03-10T23:17:56.553-07:00Slander and Lies!<span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space:pre"> </span>With every passing day, I see more and more, that people are completely unaware of the economic crisis that lies ahead. Either they are being mislead by conglomerate high ups that only spread slander and lies, or are completely oblivious to the reality that lies just beyond there intellectual grasp. Now I know SOME people are aware of the economic collapse and are planning for the worst, but hoping for the best. On the other hand, I have asked some people about what they know about the recession, and they are more interested in mocking the "big words" that I use, than learning more about the scary realities that lie ahead. Without mentioning anyone in particular, I just believe that the general ignorance of people is very very disappointing. Now I'm not saying I'm the smartest person, nor am I saying that I do not make mistakes, BUT, how can people be so blind, so completely self involved and petty, that they can't even reconcile what is going on in there life, or the lives of others around them. Given, some of the people I talk to are from generation X, but some are more from the Baby Boomers generation.<div><br /></div><div><span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space:pre"> </span>Another thing I hate is ignorant saps that think that reading is an outdated form of entertainment. Seriously, it's the most fun and educational activity I can think of. It's very useful for increasing your vocabulary, and can make for some good conversations with fellow readers. I always see people lacking in vocabulary (much more than I would like to) and they can't even think of a better adjective than a foul term (ex. "Look at this fuc*ing house.") Honestly It's embarrassing. Also I hate people that misspell simple words on purpose. For what? To make yourself look less intelligent, to make the statement "Look at me! I'm edgy! I do not know grade school english!" Anyways, thanks for reading my first REAL blog post.
